Once again the Artists of Uxbridge will be holding its annual Art Show and Sale on the last weekend of April. This year sees a new venue and time, namely Shobrook Gardens with the show opening at Noon each day.

The Show typically contains more than a hundred pieces of artwork from about 20 different artists. The variety in style, subject and size of the artwork reflects the diverse interests of the artists. You will find artwork in watercolour, acrylic, and oil as well as wonderful pencil and charcoal drawings.

Artists of Uxbridge is a local art group established in 2005 with the intention of bringing artists together. The group meets weekly to draw and paint, share presentations and demonstrations, and participates in various workshops. A formal committee is in place to plan each month’s activities and demonstrations. Since its beginning, the group has grown to some twenty-five members.

Everyone is encouraged to visit the Show to browse the artwork and chat with the artists over coffee and a cookie. Who knows, if something appeals you may find yourself buying an original, a print or an art card.
